As a self-proclaimed non-artist, Matthias is best described as a visual strategist. Valuing hard work over inspiration, his reductive design aesthetic places functionality as the ultimate goal. Providing a service, he prides himself in using his design tools to solve and dissolve problems for clients.

 

Matthias worked since 1997 for a wide variety of agencies in 5 different countries. As an interdisciplinary designer he gained experience in various industries on accounts such as Amway, Artistry, AT&T, Bayer, BMW, Coty, Douglas, Ford, Hyundai, Lancaster, Leica, Linda Loudermilk Fashion, Maria Intscher Fashion, Mattel, Mazda, NBC/SyFy, P&G, Piazza Sempione, Radisson, Rimmel London, Rosenblat Jewelry, Sassoon, Seiko, Sony, Swarovski, Symrise, T-Mobile, PepsiCo, Wacom, Wella, Wrigley, 1&1 among many others.

 

Matthias studied industrial design, typography and photography in University of Essen, one of Germanys top design schools. His work was shown in the red dot design center in Germany and in exhibitions during the New York and Milan design week.

 

Kaedings work was published in books (ArtPower, Designerbooks HongKong), various magazines (such as Surface, Vogue, Elle, AT CASA, Case Di Abitare, Azure, among others) and design blogs (such as MoCoLoCo, YankoDesign, Selectism, Notcot, Gizmodo, Dezeen, Designboom etc.).
